This is Nu Classic Lilith. She’s the Uptown twin to her sister Eden’s “Earth Angel” version.

She does kinda look like she’s going to work when you close up her suit jacket and get her all put together. I will show a picture of her like that at the end, but at this point I am frustrated with the suit jacket. It’s really bulky on her, as is the skirt. The combined effect is starting to make me feel like she’s in a little snowsuit. Luckily…

IT clothes and accessories are like little miniature people clothes, and I can take off her bulky coat. You can appreciate what she has on underneath, and her blouse is a little special. It has no buttons but has a slippery feeling about it. It’s also very sheer and Lilith is a little naughty – she’s wearing a chain link bra. That is very special, I have never seen it on any IT doll that I have bought or seen in their back catalogue. I’m not saying they’ve NEVER done it, I’m just saying this is a rare piece.

I have no idea why Lilith is wearing a chain link bra uptown to shop, but where the hell else is she gonna wear it I guess? Maybe she can find some local L.A.R.P. group and see if she can be a knight – just head to toe chain mail. Or maybe she’s not really that into chain mail. Whatever makes you happy Lilith. She comes with lots of cool stuff. Big red bejeweled heart earrings, big matte tan sunglasses, a pretty silver heart ring and a silver ring with a rose engraved on it I think? It’s very cute anyway. She has a lime green purse that I would pick up in real life if I saw it in the store.

But Lilith has a problem. Something that would prevent her from walking coolly and confidently through uptown, flashing her platinum card at highbrow store after store. And it’s these.

They have several problems I could try to describe but basically, they are just structurally unsound. I’m all for the pop of orange, I’m all for the transparency, I’m all for the diamonds on the toes. But they need to be made out of a solid piece of plastic instead of strings of plastic, IMHO.

Lilith has neat little details like a diamond belt and a chain belt, a little ruffle of faux fur around her skirt’s hem and tiny gold cufflinks. The tiny details like that let you know someone really cared about this doll, put a lot of thought into her. It makes her valuable more than anything else really – time. The time spent thinking and imagining and making something.

Well here she is ready to go to work, errr shopping, with her jacket closed, her chain bra hidden. I love her pigtails so much. With a face like that you can pull off any hairdo I suppose and still look this adorable. I admired the twins (Lilith and Eden) for a long time and thought this doll in particular was interesting with her pompom hair and little suit, and then when I saw the Eden that goes with this Lilith (which I have and will try to review soon) I decided it was time to get on board the twins train. I feel like Lilith handles the checkbook and Eden just runs up the bar tab but I’m just getting to know them. I do know Lilith has a hard rock past.

She is a perfect doll beauty and her makeup makes her look sweet and doe-eyed. But if you look deep, deep in that right eye, you’ll see it. Trouble.
